About the Artist

Born and raised in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia, Edy Blu found her musical roots in the vibrant city of Washington, DC.  Hanging with jam bands, rappers, and reggae royalty, Edy became known for her captivating stage presence and skill at improvisation.  

After releasing her debut EP, Heart Opener in 2016, Edy signed a publishing deal that opened up her perspective and helped land her music in placements for HBO, Netflix, and a host of TV and film projects around the globe.  

During 2020, Edy turned her attention to learning more about the business of music and sharing her wealth of knowledge with other artists through virtual mentoring. She was featured in The Fader as a songwriter on the rise.  Her single ‘All the Beautiful Girls’ was selected for exhibition at the Shangri-La Museum of Hawaii in conjunction with the Muslim Futures Exhibit for its perspective on a just and free America.    

A certified yoga teacher and cancer survivor, Edy has spent much of her life educating youth in the areas of health, fitness, and yoga.  

In 2023 Edy started producing and recording some of her original compositions.  Her first single release from this new collection ‘Limiter’ (early 2024) shows the integration of the young free-stylist, the wise musical mentor, and the woman forever on a journey of self-discovery and growth.
